My Mommy Has Epilepsy (Book) – 3/21/2008 3:28:05 PM
Greetings, I did like your writing style and some of your accomplishments. Keep up the good work speaking at schools. Some medicines will tell you if you continute to take them you could have a seizure. So one day I sat down wrote a story about the day I had a seizure. Accomplishments: I am an H.O.P.E. Mentor, for the Epilepsy Foundation. I speak at different events for schools, organizations, political events and anywhere my help is needed to educate people about epilepsy. I have recently been on four talk shows. The interviews focused on the importance of understanding what epilepsy is, how to help someone having a seizure and giving people with epilepsy encouragement and hope for the future. I have been on radio stations discussing epilepsy and I have recently appeared in many newspapers all over New Jersey such as, The Leader, Belleville Post and the Star Ledger. On June 26, 2002, I was honored an award by the Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey for Outstanding Volunteer Award and I spoke in Washington in front of congress. I created techniques, inspirational words to inspire your soul and much more. Near-death experiences Give people encouragement, hope, to help them realize that they are somebody — that they all have a meaning in life and just have to find that destination.” Angela Watkins

What is your destiny? (Short Story) – 3/2/2008 4:26:48 AM
We are similiar in that when I went to school being a writer was the last thing I would have thought I’d become. In fact I started writing my first book when I was 46 and it was published the year before I had to go off on Medical Disability Pension when I turned 47. Writing is a passion that once began is unsatiable. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings…enjoyed your views. hugs Fee

Letters of Inspiration (Short Story) – 8/29/2007 3:46:36 AM
Mahalo Stacey, Your words and sentiments travel through the space and continuum of time to add clarity to purpose and meaning to life. In revealing this physical condition, you also bring out the human struggle to overcome and become—God’s own creation. We are vessels of hope, not to be shielded under a bushel for no one to see. Aloha, Myles

The Little things We Take for Granted (Short Story) – 7/26/2007 1:18:07 AM
Stacey—hello again, I see and feel the powers in your words. You have turned your scars into stars. You constantly make lemonade out of lemons, and you definitely make ordinary average people sweat in their seats. No excuses here—when people start to have a pity party they should think of you and, instead say themselves—”compared to whom–and compared to what?”. Then they read your stories and get a “check-up from the neck-up” or attitude of gratitude. Keep up the growth work, success is always right around the corner. The big “E” tried to master and control you but you declared victory instead. Aloha and Best, Myles

The Little things We Take for Granted (Short Story) – 4/30/2007 7:21:39 PM
My dear Stacy, I am so glad your friends rallied around you when you felt such a need. What a wonderful gift. My reading and background suggest that contentment is wanting what you have. And you seem to have found that contentment by finding and using your ability to express yourself to others in writing. Any psychiatrist worth his salt–and many others not worth a flake of pepper–will tell you how therapeutic writing can be. Writing, for must of us, is putting the feelings and emotions and adventures of our soul into words. And “getting it down” in print is oftentimes getting our hurts out. I invite you to my den to read a few of my postings, particularly: Friends, Begin Again Ab Initio, and Be Still and Hear My Voice. I think you will really relate to the first two, and the last may well give you a spiritual trip worth taking. What a heartfelt struggle you have had. But now the best is yet to come! God be with you, Richard

What motivated me to become a writer (Short Story) – 1/11/2007 2:44:59 AM
Dear Stacy What an uplifting biography. Thank you for your honesty and clear view of life. My sisiter in law had a similar condition. Brain surgery cured the epilepsy but she has no recall of her childhood or when she was married – yet she is a translator of school books into the German language. Similarly with demensia, I have turned my world around to become an author. There is an Akan Ti proverb which comes to mind – Assa Bone Nkum Assase. It literally translates as ‘Bad dancing will not harm the ground.’ It means no matter what the affliction, give it a go. You certainly have. Well done. And strength to your pen. Best wishes Miller

Living With Epilepsy (Short Story) – 6/29/2005 7:44:21 AM
Just noticed on Amazon that your book and my recently released book (Through the Darkness: One Man’s Fight to Overcome Epilepsy)were listed as common titles selected by readers. Hopefully, with us writing about epilepsy, dealing with its challenges and carrying on with our lives we’ll be able to help others. I know so well how lonely I felt fighting the seizures and being able to read about others who are living good lives while still dealing with epilepsy is undoubtedly a big inspiration to people. During my many years of struggling with epilepsy, the information available was rather slim. However, when I heard about the surgery to correct the disorder on an NBC news report, I was able to follow my path to a cure — and I thank my lucky stars every day of my life. That said, I truly believe that our work is undoubtedly serving its purpose. Knowing how hard it was for me to complete my one book, I have been absolutely amazed how much you’ve written about the topic. Keep up the good work! Mike Henle Author, Throughthe Darkness: One Man’s Fight to Overcome Epilepsy

Dreams & Positive Thinking (Article) – 8/21/2008 6:18:52 AM
Interesting topic Stacey and done well. I used to dream “prophetic dreams” but tried very hard to stop…and have succeeded for the most part over the years.. I do take heed however, but would truly love to have some happy dreams for a change.. My mate dreams very often, in vivivvvdddd color…like movies…with names and characters and action, altho in life he is very quiet, subdued, brilliant and not an Alpha personality like I tend to be… Wonder if that has anything to do with “how and what we dream?” lindalaw
Dreams & Positive Thinking (Article) – 8/20/2008 4:39:05 PM
I dream most every night and can remember them too. They are not scarey, but some are outrageiously never to be coming true. They are outlandish in fact when I wake up and remember them. I do still love to have those dreams too though, keeps me in touch with reality sometimes at that.

Why Are So Many People being Diagnosed with Cancer? Is it the Cleaning Pro (Article) – 3/13/2008 9:47:39 PM
Yes, I agree always made sure to use natural cleaning agents all along most especially when we had our child. Certainly did not want here to be breathing the toxic chemical you speak of. I really do not like all those producats myself. Honestly they should ban all of the products that are toxic because we all know the natural products could be made now. It should be demanded.

I do know I have to do my best, live my best, Love and praise and worship God each day, look to a great future with him as my savior, be good to all and keep plugging on each day as if it were my last day here on Earth. I do not have it so bad after all after thinking about this write. God does make us and gives us happiness too.

That is what true love is. Been through it for 17 years and then lost it to death of hubby Tom. While he was alived it seemed so good, just as your write above. I always knew I loved him, I could not do with out him in my life. He gave me Joy and Peace and Love. Blessing to you in your lovelife, may it be more meaningful to you each day.

Hope (Poetry) – 5/19/2008 8:12:10 PM
Hope is looking forward to new happenings and what is to ahead for you and what you want to happen to you. Many people have named their Daughters Hope. I don’t know the meaning of that name, but it has to be similar to your poem saying about hope. A beautiful word to memorialize to. thanks.
Flower of Love (Poetry) – 5/19/2008 8:09:58 PM
A beautiful scent is the lilac scent to put on for your love. See you wrote this is 2004 but 2008 is still blooming with lilacs especially this month of May. Enjoyed this poem very much.
